Your Witnness...

Even better than the real thing! ...Almost. Here's the skinny on hotpress.com's coverage of the festival of the summer. Don't miss it

The Hot Press Newsdesk

As hotpress.com readers are probably somewhat aware [Hah! - understatement ed] the biggest single music event of the year is only THREE teentsy days away. That's right. We mean Witnness, and we mean this weekend. Whee!

So we're just writing to tell you that, starting today (Weds 10 July), and lasting for the next seven days, hotpress.com's home page will be dressed up specially, Witnness-style, to celebrate this most mammoth of musical blowouts. That's right. For one whole glorious week, we're gonna be having a good Witnness time, all the time around here. All the better to bring you live reviews, photographs, gossip, impromptu backstage goings-on, streamed video and acoustic sessions (with thanks to Eircom Broadband) and much much more, my dear!

All witnness coverage (so nobody misses nuthin') is completely free to access; so don't worry about forgetting your login and password while you're in the cyber cafe about to check the stage times. You'll be able to do it NO problem.

Meanwhile, of course, because we like a little variety in our lives, us - and who doesn't - we will also be carrying on with our unparallelled music news service as normal, here:

and will be featuring other, non-Witnnessy delights elsewhere on our

site.

Such as:

- our regular can't-miss music-industry guide Ask The Oracle;

- The Waterboys live at Universal Hall, Scotland reviewed;

- new LPs from The Mars Volta, The Darkness, U.N.K.L.E., Ocean Colour

Scene and Ashanti reviewed;

- Dublin comedy promoter Paddy Kelly, guest writing for Hot Press in

Laughlines;

- excellent real-life Dublin saga Veronica Guerin reviewed;

and more besides.

To read MUSIC coverage, go here:

..and to read about comedy, films, books and lifestyle, go to FEATURES, here:

..and to read our political columnists and reportage, go to POLITICS, here.

..and to listen to new music and watch our amazing back archive of video interviews, go to BROADCAST, here:

..and of course, to see what's on aside from Witnness, go here.

Enjoy our Witnness special - and whatever you do, have a great weekend.
