Yet another week of Indie chart glory for Coronas

Tony Was An Ex-Con remains at No.1, while Bon Iver, Arctic Monkeys and Animal Collective rear their beautiful heads as this week's re-entries!

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 20 Aug 2010

The Coronas are celebrating yet another week at the top of the Indie chart with sophomore album Tony Was An Ex-Con. Their debut Heroes Or Ghosts climbs from No. 8 to No. 5, making HP wonder whether the Dubliners might dominate the top of the charts next week!

There are no new entries in the chart this week, however there are a few interesting re-entries. Possibly on the back of news that Kanye West is to sample his track 'See Me Now', Bon Iver's beautiful For Emma, Forever Ago has come in at No. 16. The singer (Julian Vernon to his Mammy) was stunned on hearing the news that Kanye was to fly him to Hawaii to work on the track: "I was literally in the back room rolling a spliff with Rick Ross, talking about what to do on the next part of a song,” he says, "It was astonishing!"

Elsewhere, Animal Collective have also re-entered, with the tongue twisting title Merriweather Post Pavillion at No. 19 today. Arcade Fire's Funeral and Vampire Weekend's self-titled debut also re-enter, sitting at No. 11 and 15 respectively.
