Waiting Room triumphs in Operation Green Day
Waiting Room were declared the victors of Today FM's 'Operation Green Day' which was held in conjunction with Hot Press on St Patrick's Day

Operation Green Day, staged by Today FM on St Patrick’s Day, certainly got the green light from the station’s listeners who responded in huge numbers to vote for their favourites from among the Irish tracks nominated by Hot Press journos throughout the day.
The winning band were Waiting Room for ‘Return My Rabbits’, nominated by John Walshe. And the Nokia grand prize winner was Elaine Lenihan from Listowel, Co. Kerry who scooped a splendid Nokia 3300 music phone with portable digital music player with integrated loudspeaker, a stereo FM radio, a digital recorder, advanced ring tones, enhanced messaging and games features. Whew!
For the record, The Waiting Room topped the poll at 91%, Snow Patrol came second with 80% and The Chalets were third with 67%…
