Vyvienne Long announces tour

Punters will get a sneak preview of her Serenade For Caterpillars album.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 31 Mar 2009

Vyvienne Long takes the songs from her upcoming Serenade For Caterpillars album “for a walk” when she descends on Cleere’s Theatre, Kilkenny (April 16); The Belltable, Limerick (17); Crane Lane, Cork (18); St. Nicholas’ Collegiate Church, Galway (23) and The Village, Dublin (25).

Best-known for her cello work with Damien Rice, Long is currently enjoying primetime TV exposure courtesy of ‘Happy Thoughts’ – supposedly the album’s ‘secret bonus cut’ – soundtracking the new EasiSingles TV advert.

Despite the product association, it’s anything but cheesy and suggests that Vyvienne is set for a successful post-Damo solo career a la Lisa Hannigan.
