The Script still top of Irish Album Chart

O Emperor's debut album Hither Thither is the highest new entry

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 08 Oct 2010

Making it four weeks in a row, the Script's second album Science & Faith is unmoved at the summit of this week's mainstream Album Chart. Tinie Tempah's debut album Disc-Over is the highest new entry - he bumps Imelda May out of second place. May is still riding high, however. She has two albums back-to-back in the top five. Her latest, Mayhem is at No. 3, while Love Tattoo has the No. 4 spot. Eminem's Recovery rises three places to complete the top five.

Aside from Mr. Tempah, there are four new entries in this week's top 40. It's good news for Irish acts - O Emperor's Hither Thither is at No. 6 and White Fox by Ham Sandwich is at No. 25.

For whatever reason, The Very Best Of Fleetwood Mac is back in at No. 32, whilst A Year Without Rain by Selena Gomez & The Scene only enters at No. 40. Maybe Irish audiences just can't relate to the Disney teen star's album title.
