The National kick off Other Voices new series
Ninth season begins with Brooklyn band and Anna Calvi

The first programme of the new series filmed in the hushed atmosphere of St.James' Church in Dingle, Co. Kerry will air on Wednesday February 16 on RTE 2 at 11.25pm and will feature The National, Anna Calvi, James Vincent McMorrow and Jennifer Evans.
The filmed performance was the last of The National's mammoth 8-month tour and despite the lengthy trek the band had to get there (the gigs were filmed at the height of the December snow, so they had to fly from Dublin to Tralee airport) the band were apparently so enamoured with the small Kerry town that they tried to stay an extra day with their families. Expect a run through of some of their best-loved songs such as 'Fake Empire', 'Bloodbuzz Ohio' and fan-favourite closer 'Vanderlyle Cry Baby'.
This season of Other Voices promises to be one of the best with renowed international artists such as Jarvis Cocker, Richard Hawley, Ellie Goulding and Marina & The Diamonds also to be featured in coming weeks.
