The Coronas remain top of the Irish indie chart

Villagers are snapping hard at their heels!

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 23 Jul 2010

The Coronas' remarkable Irish indie chart run continues with Tony Was An Ex-Con hanging on to the number one spot. It's their 43rd week on the survey, which has Villagers' Becoming A Jackal moving up one place to two on the back of its Mercury Music Prize nomination and Cathy Davey's The Nameless up three to three.

In what's otherwise a fairly static chart, The High Kings' eponymous collection re-enters at 18 with School Of Seven Bells' Disconnect From Desire the highest new entry at 19.
