The Hot Press Newsdesk

2FM have unveiled their latest recruit. She's Nikki Hayes who can currently be found presenting Spin FM's The Shift, an urban show, which goes out Sunday to Thursday from 9.45pm to 00.45am.

Like 2FM's other recent recruits Dan Hegarty, Cormac Battle and Jenny Huston, Hayes had a piratical start to her career with Dublin's DLR 106FM and Passion FM.

After three years of regular lawbreaking, she went legit in 1998 with Wicklow's East Coast Radio, and transferred to Spin last year.

After a spell deputising for Aidan Leonard on The Sunday Cruise, Hayes was offered a permanent slot on 2FM starting on January 3. You'll be able to hear her on Friday from 8pm to 10pm and Saturday from 9pm to midnight.
