Solo album on the way from Alex Turner
The Arctic Monkey has contributed songs to the soundtrack for new movie Submarine

Arctic Monkey frontman Alex Turner has written songs for the soundtrack of a film called Submarine, with the album set to be released on March 11 through Domino Records.
Submarine, a comedy, is directed by IT Crowd star Richard Ayoade, and will be screened at this year's Jameson Dublin International Film Festival on February 17.
Meanwhile, The Arctic Monkeys have announced two shows in their hometown of Sheffield this Summer. The boys will play in a custom designed tent at The Don Valley Bowl on June 10 and 11, with support from Miles Kane, The Vaccines, Dead Sons, (Friday 10) and Anna Calvi, Mabel Love and Miles again on Saturday 11.
