Second Florence album to have more chemistry

The Oxegen-bound singer says her new record is inspired by 'crystals'. We have to profess to being a bit concerned!

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 28 Apr 2010

Flame haired Florence Welch has revealed that the follow up to her mega-selling debut album Lungs will "move away from gothic horror toward something that's slightly more chemical."

The star, who is set to play the Oxegen festival this summer, also denied rumours that this album would be a concept album saying: "Everyone thinks I'm going to do an album about the periodic table - which I'm not."

Whatever the inspiration behind the new album, we in Hot Press can only hope it contains the same standard of killer songs as its predecessor.
