Scissor Sisters: Dubln gig and Belfast re-jig

Already in huge demand in Belfast, Scissor Sisters have announced a date at The Village, Dublin

The Hot Press Newsdesk

Love 'em or loathe 'em, there's no doubt that the Scissor Sisters are creating serious waves, even splitting Hot Press' discerning critics into two distinct camps.

While their reworking of 'Comfortably Numb' has Ronan "Single of the Fortnight" Fitzgerald tickled pink, there was no swaying Phil Udell, who gave their album a wee 2/10 and declared that "listening to Scissor Sisters is akin to finding yourself stuck in some nightmare ’80s revival night, one that places more store on the work of Kajagoogoo than the Smiths.

You be the judge on March 1 and 2 when the New York five-piece make doubtlessly dazzling debuts in Belfast and Dublin.

Tickets for the March 2 date at The Village are on sale now, priced at €15.

Meanwhile in Belfast, the Scissor Sisters (with special guests The Vichy Government and Mark) has been moved to The Limelight due to "overwhelming ticket demand ". All original tickets purchased will be valid.
