Only hours to go...

VERY IMPORTANT: Witnness reminds under 18s and parents of important festival info

The Hot Press Newsdesk

With less than a day to go before the music event of the summer, the goodly folk at Witnness have a few important reminders for anyone under eighteen who plans to attend.

* If you're under eighteen and Punchestown-bound, be SURE to read on for important info about what you have to bring to Witnness and where you have to go in order to be admitted. Legally of course, there's a chance you could be turned away if you don't have the right stuff! So get your biros out, kids:

"Any under 18s planning on coming down to Witnness this year MUST be aware of special processes in place in order for them to get on to the festival site at Punchestown Racecourse this weekend.

"Witnness is an over 18s event, but we do allow under 18s on site if they are accompanied by a parent or suitable guardian. The last thing we want to do is turn people away (but we may have to!) - so all under 18s MUST be aware of what they need to do and bring to get into Witnness:

- Every person aged under 18 MUST be accompanied by a parent or a suitable guardian. Arrive together.

- Go to the special tent in the box office areas marked "Under 18s" where you and your parent/guardian can go through the checking process.

- We will check everyone's ID when they arrive (parent/guardian/under 18).

- If you arrive with a guardian, we may also call their parents to check they are happy with the guardian the person aged under 18 has brought.

- Guardians need to fill in and sign a consent form and give relevant contact numbers - their and your mobile numbers (if you have one) and your parents' landline.

- By having everything ready you should be able to get in really quickly.

- One guardian can be responsible for no more than 3 people aged under 18.

- Most importantly, everyone aged under should stick with their parent / guardian - be safe and have fun!"
