New album from The Walls on the way

The band are hoping to raise money for its completion through FUND:IT.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 06 Feb 2012

The Walls are going the FUND:IT route to complete the follow up to 2005’s New Dawn Breaking.

The title-track from Stop The Lights is available now from iTunes.

As for the album, “There are a few final hurdles to jump first and we're hoping you can help,” say Joe and Steve. “We need to raise finance to get it through the final stages of mastering, artwork, manufacturing and there’s also marketing and promotion to be done.”

The various www.fundit.ie/project/the-walls-stop-the-lights packages range from a €10 digital download of the new album through to a €1,000 jobbie, which includes a 45-minute acoustic gig in your home (the island of Ireland only), six signed copies of Stop The Lights, digital downloads plus six Walls t-shirts.

“We’ve set the target at €10,000 but we really hope to raise more as the overall costs far exceed that amount,” resume the lads who’ve set February 24 as the cut-off point.

People involved in the making of Stop The Lights include Dubliner Rob Kirwan who recorded PJ Harvey’s Mercury Award-winning Let England Shake, and graphic designers Conor and David who’ve created a five-metre high installation for the cover artwork.
