New Charity Album For Simon Community
Villagers, Mik Pyro, and Jape feature on the release.

Some of Ireland’s favourite indie artists have come together to record a brand new album of classic soul covers.
The Shortest Night is a charity album in aid of the Dublin Simon Community and features Villagers singing Marvin Gaye’s ‘Mercy Mercy Me’, Jape doing a rendition of the Staple Singers tune ‘Why Am I Treated So Bad’ and Mik Pyro covering the Dramatics’ ‘In The Rain’.
Recorded by the Sound Engineering students at Temple Bar’s Sound Training Centre, the album launch will take place at The Button Factory, June 21. Admission is free on the night and you’ll get a chance to hear live performances of the tracks as well as grabbing yourself a copy of the album.
