Mission of Burma for Dublin and Cork

After a drought-like dry spell, Mission of Burma will bring their new OnoffON material to Dublin and Cork in July

The Hot Press Newsdesk

American leftfield legends Mission Of Burma reconvene for shows in the Temple Bar Music Centre, Dublin (July 6) and Cyprus Avenue, Cork (7).

Regularly namechecked by the likes of Moby, REM and Sonic Youth, the Boston band made a huge impact with their 1982 debut album, Vs, but split shortly after when guitarist Roger Miller developed tinnitus.

Ears rested for 20 years, they recorded a new collection last year, OnoffON, which emerges on June 4 through Matador and goes a long way to explaining what all the fuss is about.
