Mick Flannery set for Whelan's next month

The Best Irish Male at the 2009 Meteor Awards will take to the stage on August 25.

The former stonemason is currently working on a follow-up to his Choice Music Prize nominated second album White Lies.

He will also play at De Barras in Clonakilty, Cork on August 4 and the Swan Lake Music Venue in Navan, Co Meath on August 13.
