Kopek single debuts at number 22

Two weeks after its official release, Kopek’s new single ‘Stop’ has debuted in the Irish charts at number 22, the highest charted independent single of the week.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 27 Jun 2007

And Kopek aren't just making the singles charts, as the video for 'Stop,' a CGI-affair created by Eoin Duffy, was selected as a pick of the week on Channel 6’s Night Watch. Following this success, the lads expect to see the video on MTV2 over the next few weeks.

Kopek's meteoric rise began late in 2005, when the boys from Dublin emerged from the Global Battle of the Bands as the ultimate victors, winning a world tour and $100,000. Since then, the band has continued gigging, playing a massive single launch party at the Temple Bar Music Centre earlier this month.

You can catch Kopek live in action at The Donegal Music Festival on July 14 or at the King of Dalkey Music & Arts Festival in Dublin on July 28.
