John Cooper Clarke for The Button Factory

A wonderfully eccentric evening is on the cards.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 07 Jul 2011

Team Hot Press is jolly excited – and so should you be too! – that John Cooper Clarke is Dublin-bound on November 11 for a gig in The Button Factory. Tickets are €17.50.

The poetry wing of the English punk movement, Cooper Clarke opened back in the day for the likes of the Sex Pistols, Buzzcocks, The Fall, Joy Division and Elvis Costello.

Since then he’s struggled with heroin addiction, recorded four albums, appeared alongside The Honey Monster in a Sugar Puffs commercial, had an entire night of Sky Arts programming dedicated to him and generally become a British institution that Irish people can just as readily buy into. Don't miss out!
