Glasgowbury confirmed for The Music Show

The Northern Ireland based festival will be hosting a stand at Ireland’s premier music exhibition in February.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 24 Jan 2012

Glasgowbury is widely known as the small festival that aims to make a massive difference. The festival consistently supports unsigned and emerging music, while also celebrating the best in homegrown talent. Having given acts such Ash, And So I Watch You From Afar and Cashier No. 9 their first ever Irish festival headline slot, Glasgowbury has grown into a yearly celebration of all that’s good about Irish music.

“Glasgowbury have provided great support for young Irish talent for a number of years now,” stated Mark Hogan, Music Show organiser. “They have really contributed to creative and cultural change within the Irish music scene and we’d definitely encourage everyone to check out their stand at this year’s Music Show.”

As a charitable organisation, Glasgowbury also has a year-round programme of activity which aims to support and enhance the creative industries wholly. Glasgowbury reflects a not-for-profit organisation, ran by musicians, for musicians and the phrase “Small But Massive” is at the heart of all their work.

The Music Show 2012, presented by Hot Press in association with RTÉ 2fm, runs from February 25-26 in The RDS, Dublin.

Tickets are available (€12 one day, €16 for the weekend) on Ticketmaster.
