Fred get their gear back

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 22 Jan 2009

There’s a happy ending to Fred’s stolen equipment woes with all the equipment they had lifted from their van this week being retrieved.

“We just want to say a massive ‘thank you’ to the Gardai in Cork who managed to get absolutely everything back to us,” say the ace Leeside popsters. “It’s such a relief to us as a band. We’d also like to thank everyone for their help and support this week. We’ve been overwhelmed with folk’s kindness.”

This now means that the band will be able to play on Friday at Mason’s in Derry and then head to the States for an important showcase tour.
