Festival Of Fires Returns To The Hill of Uisneach

Yet another of the summer’s festivals has revealed its musical hand!

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 22 Mar 2011

This time it’s the Festival of the Fires 2011, the revival of an ancient Celtic event that takes place on April 30 on the at Bealtaine in County Westmeath.

Provding the entertainment across three stages will be the likes of The Saw Doctors, Kíla, Republic of Loose, Liam O Maonlai, Preacher’s Son, The Aftermath, Bipolar Empire, The Riptide Movement and Pete Courtney.

They’re also promising the addition of a folk legend “making his first Irish festival appearance in years.”

Interestingly, founder Paddy Dunning is making a virtue of the bash being “proudly brand-free with no corporate sponsorship or anything like that.”

Tickets are on sale now priced €30.
