The Hot Press Newsdesk, 11 Aug 2008

This Thursday (August 14) Radio City will be hosting an Electric Picnic warm-up party for The Paddy Mirage, Irish Burners and Temple crew groups from the famous annual Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert.

The groups have been commissioned by Electric Picnic to build a temple, which will then be reduced to ashes on the final night of the festival. The ceremonial burning will be the first of its kind outside of the Burning Man festival, and has traditionally become a kind of cathartic experience for those involved.

The Radio City party is open to all and will features psy trance, reggae, dub step and electro tunes.

Attendees will get a sneak peak at this year's project, and will also get the chance to get involved and leave their own dedications to be placed in the temple.

The groups have also been commissioned to build the Paddy Mirage, a replica of Newgrange which will be a cafe and live music stage at the festival.
