To make up for the frustration of having to wait until next year for a new album, Declan O’Rourke fans can bag themselves a Special Edition version of his Since Kyabram album.
The Hot Press Newsdesk, 02 May 2006

It features new versions of ‘No Brakes’, ‘Love Is The Way’, Birds Of A Feather’, ‘Your World’ and ‘1-Way Minds’ produced by KT Tunstall and Chris Martin man Martin Terefe.
The package features a bonus DVD of his August 2005 show in Dublin’s National Concert Hall. Backed by a full orchestra, O’Rourke performs ‘Marrying The Sea’, ‘Til Death Us Do Part’, ‘A Little Something’, ‘No Place To Hide’, ‘Galileo’, ‘We Didn’t Mean To Go To Sea’, ‘Birds Of A Feather’, ‘1-Way Minds’, ‘Life Goes On’, ‘Sarah’, ‘No Brakes’ and ‘Love Is The Way’.
It also sports a new cover, which has been designed for Since Kyabram’s May 29 release in the UK and mainland Europe.

O'Rourke's third single from the platinum-selling Since Kyabram is exactly the record a guy would put on after the woman he’s besotted with agrees to marry him. It’s a joy barely restrained, and warms the heart of anyone lucky enough to witness it. Had anyone else played this song, it wouldn’t have the same effect – there’s something about the acoustic simplicity next to Declan’s deep, masculine vocals that makes it shine. Genius.
