David Kitt for The River Sessions

Kittser takes to the water for a seabound session on the River Shannon.

The River Sessions, which take place on board a cruise boat on the River Shannon, have been running for five summers now, hosting acts like The Coronas, Bell X1, Mundy, The Walls, Jack L and Maria Doyle Kennedy.

And this August, the independently-run sessions acts as a fringe event to the Carrick Water Music Festival, bringing Dubliner David Kitt to Carrick on Shannon.

The August 5 show kicks off at 8pm, returning to land around 11.30pm. Tickets are €22.

Space is limited, and early booking is advised. Call Catriona on 071 9621777, or call the festival box office on 071 9650828. You can also book in person at Murtagh Man in Main St, Carrick on Shannon.
