Damien Rice cancels Fuji

Damien Rice has pulled his Japanese Fuji Rocks and Korean Pentaport Festival appearances this weekend due to fatigue.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 26 Jul 2007

Damien Rice has pulled his Japanese Fuji Rocks and Korean Pentaport Festival appearances this weekend due to fatigue.

Reads an official statement: “This year’s busy touring and traveling schedule has taken its toll on Damien's health, and due to exhaustion we must cancel our scheduled appearances at these events in the longer term interest of protecting his voice.

“Having never cancelled an appearance to date, we are really disappointed not to be making the trip and send warm wishes for a beautiful festival.”

While it's bad news for Asian fans, it means that Damien should be in tip-top form on August 25 when he headlines Dublin’s Marlay Park.
