Bipolar Empire headline Powerscourt gig

Dublin rock hopefuls Bipolar Empire have announced a special "going away gig" this weekend.

The band, who are heading for Los Angeles next week to record their debut album with REM and Madonna producer Pat McCarthy, head the bill at what is the first ever official gig in the Powerscourt Centre in South William Street in Dublin.

Also on the bill are Deshonos and The Last Remaining Lights with DJ Dave Murphy in charge of the decks till 2am. Doors open at 8pm and the gig is being sponsored by Captain America's.

A three piece indie rock band from Tallaght in Dublin, Bipolar Empire supported The Blizzards and Republic of Loose over the Christmas period. They will play a number of gigs in the US, before returning to Ireland to promote their album in the late Spring and early summer.
