Beach House confirm Irish visit

They'll play Belfast and Dublin later in the year.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 05 Jun 2012

Current buzz band Beach House are over in October for shows in the Mandela Hall, Belfast (26) and Vicar St., Dublin (28).

Tickets priced £18.50 and €23 respectively go on sale on Friday June 8.

Released last month, the Baltimore dream poppers’ Bloom album has charted on both sides of the Atlantic and wowed critics including our own Edwin McFee who noted its “exploring the sonic territory sketched out by the Cocteau Twins and Mazzy Star. It can be supremely uplifting and at times euphoric."

“Bloom is a journey,” one half of the duo, Victoria Legrand, reflects. “For me, it is about the irreplaceable power of imagination as it relates to the intense experience of living. A bloom is only temporary... a fleeting vision of life in all of its intensity and colour, beautiful even if only for a moment.”
