BIMM Dublin Courses at the Music Show

The new Irish course will be recruiting the next generation of musicians at the exhibition…

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 05 Dec 2011

The prestigious Brighton and Bristol Institute of Modern Music opened its Dublin doors for the first time this year, and will be scouting for fresh applicants at the Music Show on February 25 and 26.

“BIMM enjoys high student numbers and an unrivalled relationship with the music industry,” explained a BIMM spokesperson. “BIMM Dublin opened in September 2011 with an exciting and talented group of students consisting of 150 BA students and 60 Advanced Diploma students.”

These lucky souls get to work alongside practicing musicians in the fields of guitar, bass, drums, vocals and songwriting. Accomplished alumni include The Kooks, Kate Walsh and Beth Rowley. If you’d like to learn more about the courses on offer, pop along to the Music Show to liaise with the tutors.

“We think it’s fantastic that BIMM have chosen to open a college on Francis Street, here in Dublin” said Mark Hogan, organiser of The Music Show. “Renowned music colleges such as BIMM consistently choose to exhibit at The Music Show and we think this shows that Irish students have definitely displayed a genuine passion for music.”

The show – which is a must-see for anyone with musical inclinations – will take place in the RDS, Dublin.
