And So I Watch You From Afar talk the Royal Wedding

They're also previewing a track from their new Gangs album!

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 14 Apr 2011

And So I Watch You From Afar have been addressing the fact that the Belfast Mandela Hall launch show for their Gangs album on April 29 is clashing with Wills ‘n’ Kate’s slightly bigger gig in Westminster Abbey.

“Surely masturbating with a chainmail glove would be better than that?” guitarist Tony Wright says of missing out on the festivities. “We only booked the album launch for that date because we had to make up an excuse for why we couldn’t go to the royal wedding. We were like, ‘Sorry guys, we’ve got this on.’ We got asked to organise the bachelor party but figured it wouldn’t be fair to bring them there and for me to tell them that I don’t acknowledge their existence. That’s my views by the way, not the views of the band.”

For more of Mr. Wright’s deep thinking, see the ASIWYFA interview in the next issue of Hot Press.

Meanwhile, the band are offering a sneak Soundcloud preview of one of Gangs' standouts, ‘BeautifulUniverseMasterchampion’.
