Fiach Plays At Philip Lynott Exhibition

A word to the wise!

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 19 Jul 2011

Dublin singer and songwriter Fiach will be dropping in to The Philip Lynott Exhibition in Stephen's Green Shopping Centre this afternoon (Tuesday) – and recording a track or two on the spot.

The 27 year-old Dubliner – full name Fiach Moriarty – is one of Ireland's brightest young stars. His debut album So I, released last year, was hailed as very special in Hot Press, the Irish Times, the Star Sunday and the Mirror, with Hot Press also describing Fiach as "a supreme performer."

Having already recorded a version of 'Old Town' as Gaeilge, for the Una Mullally-presented Ceol Ar An Imeall, TG4's indie rock show, it seems a safe bet that Fiach will perform that famous Philip Lynott track for the camera. Other plans, however, remain a closely guarded secret.

The action is planned for approx 3pm, Tuesday afternoon.
