Reformed 79Cortinaz to release album in 2011

After splitting in 2008, the Carlow band band are back with new members and big plans.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 03 Sep 2010

The band will feature the original members, Cormac Strain, Darren O'Neill and Gala Hutton as well as two new band members - Mick Bolton on electric fiddle and MacroGrizzly keyboardist Karen O'Neill.

The band are planning to release an album next year. The material is a collection of tracks originally jammed before the recording of the band's first album, Hopioki. These 22 tracks will be made into a live set with 10 of those to be recorded and released as an album through Canadian label MusikAtomik in the summer of 2011.

Keep an eyes out for gigs starting in January 2011!
