Ash announce Galway gig

Ash have pencilled in a date for this summer's Galway Arts Festival.

Ash nip in for a Galway Arts Festival show on July 25, which will go on sale shortly.

Meanwhile, the latest dispatch from their New York HQ reveals that: “We’re hard at work in the studio recording loads of new material for future release. We’ve got 15 new songs on the go. We’ve got a plan and big ideas, but more on that later!”

This is especially intriguing given what Tim Wheeler said last year about them no longer wanting to release conventional albums.

Also confirmed is a September 5 show in the London Roundhouse at which the trio will play their 1977 debut album in its gloriously brattish entirity.

The alt-rockers will release Best Of Ash on October 14 ahead of their gig at The Academy on October 18.
