Vyvienne Long announces December shows

Damien Rice collaborator Vyvienne Long has announced two concerts next month.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 19 Nov 2007

The virtuoso cellist will be playing the Spirit Store in Dundalk on December 3 before heading to Dublin the following night for a show in The Village.

Long was responsible for the string arrangements on Damien Rice's O album and while on tour with the singer/songwriter, she began experimenting with string versions of popular and classic hits. Her unique version of The White Stripes' 'Seven Nation Army' received exposure on Today FM and was included on the station's Even Better Than The Real Thing covers collection.

Her debut solo EP Birdtalk was released in September 2006 and is now available on iTunes. Work on her first album is set to begin in the New Year.
