Ash stop releasing albums

Twilight Of The Innocents, out July 2, will be Ash’s last album, says frontman Tim Wheeler. But the band are not planning to split.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 13 Jun 2007

Earlier this week Tim Wheeler said that Ash’s new album, Twilight Of The Innocents, was to be their last. He now confirms this statement, but says the band will remain together.

Changes in the way people buy and listen to music mean that albums are no longer necessary, says Tim, and downloading music means fans care more about single tracks.

Ash have enjoyed huge success from singles like 'Girl From Mars', and 'Burn Baby Burn', and they now plan to focus their attention on the single format.

The band have a studio in New York where they can record songs and release them soon after, keeping the music fresh for fans to get new tracks quickly and easily.
