'West Fest' confirmed for next summer

The two day music event will take place in Aghamore, Co Mayo

West Fest has been confirmed for the June bank holiday weekend (4 & 5), 2011. It will take place off the main N17 in Aghamore (2 miles from both Knock and Ballyhaunis).

The festival will see live performances from Republic of Loose, Sharon Shannon and the Big Band, Damien Dempsey, Ryan Sheridan, The Kilkennys, Bagatelle, The Big Generator, Brush Shiels and i102-104 DJ Fergal D'arcy, with more names still to be confirmed.

Organisers are also giving young bands the opportunity to play live at the festival. Auditions will be held in the Park Hotel in Kiltimagh on the January 16. For more, see www.westfest.ie.
