The Opposite Of Addiction

One of Road Records’ rather nifty double-header single releases.

Stephen Robinson

One of Road Records’ rather nifty double-header single releases, this features the cinematic ‘Slut Style’ from Damien Frost, an evocative sound-scape that builds into a furious crescendo of kick-drum and Latin horns. The Jimmy Cake’s ‘The Opposite Of Addiction’ sounds like a sound check for one of those old Velvets’ live recordings, which doesn’t really bear out the title if you think about it. I gotta be honest, I’m not sure where music of this type is going, but I confess I’m glad it passed my way.
