It was only a matter of time before Johnny Cash got around to covering something by the Basildon posse Depeche Mode, since… OK I’m bullshitting you, I’ve no idea what’s going on here except it sounds real and alive and fragile and affecting and dangerous. One of the best cover versions I’ve ever heard.
