Make Our Devil

‘Make Our Devils Flow’ could be said to be highly anticipated, yet it’s also slightly disappointing.

Phil Udell

The Immediate were one of the highlights of last year’s Faction compilation, offering a high-energy take on indie guitar music that packed a powerful punch in under three minutes. ‘Make Our Devils Flow’ could therefore be said to be highly anticipated, yet it’s also slightly disappointing. Something doesn’t quite click here. Perhaps it’s the feeling that they’ve made this more complicated than it really needs to be. Just when it gathers momentum, the record heads off at a tangent and all sense of excitement is lost. Not wishing to contradict our first opinion, this could do with a few less good intentions.
