While they produced what’s one of my favourite Irish debuts, 1996’s Shine Box, Picturehouse have a tendency toward the obvious that occasionally, as here, leaves me aching for more. That said, ‘Breathe’ is an accomplished slice of AOR pop that’s sure to please their massive fan base and will hopefully do them some favours internationally.
