It’s a good job rock bands have the current social climate to facilitate complain-y songs of protest and disillusion. Well-established rockers Green Day offer an examination of this “age of paranoia”. The furious guitars and irate drumming that we’ve come to expect off these boys is so much edgier when you consider there’s now more to the rage than adolescent hormones, though it’s still no ‘Fortunate Son’.
