Yeah - everyone feel sorry for a poor old billionaire who took a crazy gamble on Anglo shares.

He's the victim!

Ah that's a community doing its bit for a guy who is in trouble. It might seem mad to jackeens that 4,000 people turn up, but that's the way things fly in the border counties. I think he should run for election next time out. Might even poll better than Michael Lowry...

or mick wallace.

Maybe if I didn't think Quinn was a conservative catholic bollocks I'd have more sympathy.
I need to have a long hard look at myself.

I wouldn't make a federal case of it either way! But there is a streak among the natives here – I was going to say peasants but that'd seem too dismissive – which is anti-establishment and perhaps anti-Dublin and which sees the unmasking of Lowry and Sean Quinn as a product of an anti-culchie superiority complex...

i have an anti-culchie s'periority complex. bunch of yahoos that gang are. still it must be fuckin' hard seeing you've thrown a few billion away. ouch.

it is like father ted though. I saw a bit of him on Vincent Browne last night, and EITHER he's a natural born lier, or he actually is starting to believe the nonsense that he's talking.

It was a crazy interview. Sean Quinn - at one time the most successful business man in Ireland - spent most of the interview pretending that he didn't understand the concept of collateral and loans. It was bizarre.

let us not forget his wife
"It has also argued that while she disputed the bank's description of her as a "business lady", she had been a director of 63 Quinn group companies in the Republic, 28 Quinn companies in the UK and secretary of about 10 companies.

In an affidavit, Mrs Quinn said she was not a business lady, had been a homemaker for the past 36 years and had been looking after her husband since she married at the age of 21.

jesus wept.
Do you reckon they are actually just stupid?
 From : skennedy Posted : 03/08/12 at 11:52
Far from stupid. It is just that people who have been incredibly rich don't like to be questioned by peasants.
 From : number10 Posted : 03/08/12 at 13:38
That's libelous! Of Vincent Brown I mean...
 From : ttemme Posted : 03/08/12 at 14:19
they may not be stupid, but they're thick, if you kno'whorimean...
