Some quality acts there, Niall. Marc O'Reilly and Tucan alone are worth the entry fee.

Cheers skennedy, it's shaping up well. Really trying to promote it as much as possible to our close southern friends this year. So come one, come all!

I'm running an event that weekend myself, Niall. Otherwise I would head up. Have heard good things about Glasgowbury from last year.

COMEDY STAGE:

Headlined by Irish based New Zealand comic Danny Dowling, the G Spot comedy stage will also feature a plethora of up and coming Irish talent.

Monaghan born comedienne Niamh Marron’s exuberant style will work well as the only female acts amongst the men; while joining them will be a couple of Glasgowbury returnees in Colin Geddis (best known for his I Am Fighter work) and Micky Bartlett.

Meanwhile the line-up is completed by Magic George, Ronan Linskey, Ryan Hand and Philip McEwan.

Glasgowbury 2012 takes place across the weekend of Saturday 21st July and tickets are on sale now!

Question for you, Niall: is Rams Pocket Radio gonna make out of NI? Seems to have potential but not sure if there's a big vision about what to do with it...
 From : niall.kerr Posted : 07/06/12 at 14:09
I think they'll do very well. They're in recording their album at the moment and there's a good push behind them.

It's a typical scenario though we seem to find in Ireland. Most NI acts get popular and stay popular in NI and don't seem to cross the border - likewise with acts from the south I believe.

Rams' have the quality to make it though, always been impressive anytime they've played a gig for us.

Niamh Marron can lock horns with the best of them - she's a fiesty lady

Is Silhouette as good as she looks?
 From : niall.kerr Posted : 27/06/12 at 14:12
Yeah, one of the most consistently great musicians from these parts. Why not come to the festival and find out for yourself :)

How did it go in the end, Niall?
 From : tricky Posted : 23/07/12 at 17:05
reports I saw on Twitter said it was great.
 From : niall.kerr Posted : 24/07/12 at 18:47
Really well thanks. The two good days of weather in the past month fell exactly at the right time!

The festival itself was amazing - everyone really stepped it up a gear and some of the shows were incredibly memorable, would be an injustice to single any one out. Lots of pics on our Facebook page to check out.

And Therapy? headlining was a fantastic moment and they really got into the zone of it.

All in all a great weekend and maybe next year you can see it for yourself :)
 From : tricky Posted : 25/07/12 at 11:38
what deal did you do with the devil to conjure that weather.
 From : niall.kerr Posted : 31/07/12 at 20:34
Let's just say there's a ritual with a tin bucket and a hard boiled egg that's never let us down ;)

Also, for anyone who couldn't make it this year, check out the just uploaded 2012 promo video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmJE8GycxCM
