Raw Sessions celebrity episode airs tonight

A host of Irish music stars turn out for the special charity record.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 09 Jun 2009

Don’t miss a very special episode of the Sony Ericsson Raw Sessions, tonight on RTÉ 2 at 11.45pm.

The episode sees a host of familiar faces from the Irish music industry gather to record a version of the Horslips classic ‘Trouble With A Capital T’.

Among the stars taking part are Mick Pyro from Republic of Loose (pictured at the single recording session in Windmill Lane Studios), Niall Breslin from the Blizzards and members of the Horslips themselves.

Proceeds from the already released single go to the Irish Youth Foundation and you can download it from www.therawsessions.ie.

This special episode marks the end of the preliminary head-to-head sessions, as next week we move into the semi-finals. Here the four acts who make the cut – that's R.S.A.G, Dirty Epics, Infomatics and another to be determined – will have to record a new original track in Grouse Lodge, this time with the aid of a special guest producer.
