Raw Sessions: Final votes before semi-final

Majella Murphy and Hoarsebox compete for the last spot.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 03 Jun 2009

The Infomatics will carry on to the next round of the Sony Ericsson Raw Sessions after their song 'The Longfinger' got more votes than Noise Control's 'TV Screen'.

Last night, Kilkenny singer-songwriter Majella Murphy and lively Dublin four-piece Hoarsebox were under the spotlight as they competed for a place in the Raw Sessions semi-final.

Majella's "recession busting" song 'Too Small To Follow' and Hoarsebox's 'I Love Harlem' – apparently about being paranoid at a party – are both available to download now. See the Raw Sessions site for details.

The Infomatics will now take part in the upcoming semi-final, along with R.S.A.G. and Dirty Epics. Get your votes in before June 7 to see which of last night's acts will be joining them on the night.

Tune in to RTÉ Two on Tuesday June 9 to see if your vote made a difference, and to catch a special performance of the charity single 'Trouble'.
