The Hot Press Newsdesk, 08 Oct 2007

It’s simple to enter - just record your demo and send it off! Finalists will be carefully selected from the demos received. Four bands will go forward to semi-finals and two are then selected for the Grand Finale, held in Dublin in May.

And because Murphy's Live is all about nurturing up-and-coming Irish bands, all selected bands will get the chance to perform with some of the hottest bands on the Irish and UK live circuit. The headliner bill will be announced in December - past acts have included The Automatic, Duke Special, The Blizzards, The Frank & Walters, The Chalets, The Walls and Delorentos.

All bands that enter will receive feedback and a Murphy’s 'Band Survival Guide' - full of useful information on all you need on know about the music industry. The grand prize is an EP release through FIFA Records worth €10,000! This includes recording time in studio, national distribution and a full PR/marketing campaign.
