Royseven gear up for German release

Dublin epic rockers Royseven are preparing for the release of their album in Germany.

Royseven play a 6.40pm set at the RDS Young Social Innovators Music Showcase on May 9, and then hotfoot it over to Germany for a tour that coincides with the release there of The Art Of Insincerity.

Catch them in Saarbruecken (10); Saarlouis (11); Trier (12); Hamburg (17); Kiel (18); Augsburg (19); Munich (22); Munich (22); Darmstadt (23); and Fuerth (24).

Not content with gracing the new VW advert, mainman Paul Walsh has also started gigging with a classical pianist and cellist in Berlin’s legendary Privat & Magnet club.

Strange to win a Hope For 2007 award after releasing a Top 20 album on a big international label – I’m guessing the ‘hope’ is that there’ll be a future for the Tipp sextet. For this to happen, they’re going to have to do a lot better than the rather bland ‘I’m Revived’. Their commendable live efforts just don’t come across on CD which means that while Paul Walshe begs you not to “saaaaaay it’s over yet” you kind of wish it never started.
