Ruby Sessions winter line-up announced

The Ruby Sessions head towards Christmas with some even-tastier-than-usual multi-act bills.

Taking place every Tuesday night in Doyle’s of College Green, they include:

November 14 – The Pale (pictured), Travega, Nancy Falkow & Sunriser
November 21 – Chiara Brown, Bill Coleman, House Of Cosy Cushions & Ronan Johnston
November 28 – Fionn Regan, Labhaoise Brennab, Valerie Frances & Royseven
December 5 – Nigel Place, Jinx Lennon, Miriam Ingram & Rebecca Hart
Admission is a mere €5 with all proceeds going to the Dublin Simon Community.

Musically, The Contents Of A Shipwreck is impressively diverse. There’s lilting reggae, bluegrass and achingly beautiful sultry numbers.

1969 Records seems to be becoming a home for unappreciated Irish musical gems, and The Pale sound as though they’re revelling in working alongside Couse and Pugwash. Unlikely to bother the mainstream in a million years, ‘Elizabeth In Rags’ is still an old school Irish indie belter and proof that there’s life in some of the old dogs yet.
