With DJ Shadow resting up this year, fans of skewed hip hop should make it their business to catch Buck 65 at Whelan's on August 30.

The nom de studio of one Rick Terfry from Mount Uniacke in Canada, their Man Overboard album is one of the best listen-to-at-home dance records we've heard all year.

Support is provided by hometown heroes Messiah J & The Expert who are putting the finishing touches to their debut album for Irish indie Volta Beats.
