Model Behaviour

New Model Army suffer further bad luck, as their touring gear is stolen on their UK tour.

The Hot Press Newsdesk, 11 Jun 2012

Cromwell-inspired cult rockers New Model Army are yet again beset by bad luck. Only five months ago their studio was destroyed in a massive fire, and now their gear has been nicked.

Last Saturday, the band played Robin 2 in Wolverhampton. Their van sat in the carpark outside the Walsall Holiday Inn Express. It was broken into, and a “large number of items were stolen”, including custom Gibson Les Pauls, an Epiphone, a Gibson SG, two Lowdens, a Fender bass, and an Evolution keyboard, amongst others. You can see the full list of stolen goods below.

The band are appealing for help finding their gear, so they can continue touring their scheduled dates across the festival circuit this summer. It was only with borrowed gear that the band were able to complete their set at Strummercamp last weekend.

Singer Justin Sullivan says, “Some of the items stolen had only just been re-purchased after the fire. These are the tools of our trade and we do desperately need them back, so if anyone knows their whereabouts, please do the right thing.”
