Mumford & Sons still at No. 1

The Londoners are once again, top of the pops...

Mumford & Sons have held onto the top spot in the Irish album chart with their second album Babel.

Climbing two spots to No. 2 is The Script with #3, while at No. 3, it's Muse with The 2nd Law. This week's No. 4 is Dubliner Damien Dempsey (interviewed in next week's issue of Hot Press, with latest offering Almighty Love, while Scottish singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé is at No. 5 with Our Version Of Events.

There are new entries this week from Ellie Goulding, who is at No. 8 with Halcyon and the late, great Andy Williams, whose Very Best Of enters the chart at No. 18.

In the indie chart meanwhile, UK soul singer Adele climbs back to the top spot from No. 2 with 21, while electro indie act The xx are at No. 2 with Coexist.
